We continue to work on the following skills in school, and kindly ask that you practice them at home as well.
  • opening yogurt, apple sauce, etc.
  • peeling bananas, oranges, clementines
  • opening and closing containers, thermoses, and bento boxes
  • putting on coats and sweatshirts independently
  • zipping coats independently
  • "fixing the sleeves" when taking coats off

Friendly Reminders
 
  • Please empty folders completely on Friday and return to school on Monday with blue cinch sack.
  • It is helpful to cut a slit in bananas, and packages, and start opening cheese sticks to help your child open them independently.
  • Practice opening containers and Go-gurts independently at home.
  • Library books are due back every TUESDAY. This will ensure that your child gets to check out a new book. (Feel free to send books back before Tuesday!)
  • All sneakers should be velcro or slip-on (no ties). It makes for a much easier, safer, and distraction-free day.
  • Please make sure all water bottles, sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets, etc. are labeled with your child's name. Mabel's Labels has great personalized labels and it's a fundraiser for our school. Click the link below to order!
