SCSS COVID-19 POLICY
Please be sure to complete the online absence form if your child is absent from school for any reason. The form can be found on our website under the Health Office Tab there is a link to the Absence Reporting tab. This year parents will report a positive case of Covid-19 using a form under the Health Office tab on our website. If a student receives a positive test, parents must complete the form and submit it online. All students who have pending covid tests must stay home until they have a negative test result. Nurse Azra is available to speak to parents about symptoms should you have concerns. If we learn of a positive case of Covid-19, we will contact the Superintendent of Schools and Trumbull Health Department. Contact tracing will be conducted and impacted families will be notified. If there is a case of Covid-19 in a particular class, that class will be notified. We will be adding a Covid data tracker on our website so that parents can track cases instead of sending out a letter to the entire community each time there is a positive case. Students/adults who are vaccinated will not be required to quarantine if they are not showing symptoms. Students/adults who are not vaccinated will be required to quarantine for seven days but may take a PCR test 5 days after last exposure. If the PCR test is negative, they may return to school with proof of the negative test as long as they are not showing any symptoms of Covid-19. We will communicate any changes to quarantine or Covid-19 policies as they occur.
