Hello 5th Graders!   I’m Mr.Yerina and I'm fired up to be your teacher this year. We are going to have a lot of fun in 5th grade. This school year will be busy with many exciting lessons and activities that will help us learn and grow together. I especially take great pride in teaching our catholic values, living the message of the Gospel and, as always, treating others as Christ would. 

Some fun facts about Mr.Y

• I have been teaching in the Diocese of Bridgeport for over 20 years.
• This will be my eighth-year teaching at St. Catherine of Siena School.
• My education was always in catholic schools starting in first grade. I continued my catholic education with the Carmelites at Crespi High School (Encino, CA) and then with the Jesuits at Fairfield University.
• I grew up in the town of Thousand Oaks, in Southern California.
• I coach high school basketball.
• I enjoy playing golf.
• I have a Grandson named Cooper
