SCSS Middle School Science

What can I expect in Science at SCSS??

In the 21st Century, we know much more than ever before about the world around us and about how we learn. At SCSS, we want our students to think like scientists- to be problem solvers and real world citizens. It’s more than just getting the right answer or being able to remember facts. Through learning about science concepts, students are challenged to think critically and see connections to their lives and community. SCSS students are encouraged to be curious about the world around them. We want our students to develop a growth mindset and perseverance, becoming comfortable with not getting it right on the first try.

In a typical year, you can expect hands on experiences, making the learning come to life whenever possible.
